We Love LEGO Donald Glover
To celebrate the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, Donald Glover has been recreated as a Lando Calrissian LEGO figurine.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to be released on May 25 in theatres worldwide, and to memorialise this, LEGO revealed its themed set based on the film. An Instagram teaser posted by the toy company introduced the LEGO Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, which lands on shelves this April.
Most collectors and Star Wars fans are reeling in excitement, but also expressed a slight disappointment in yet another Millenium Falcon release (More rebel ships maybe?). LEGO revealed the main difference between the original Millennium Falcon 75105 and the new Star Wars line is the small pod that can be removed from the set. It’s a two for one deal at a small price of USD $169.99.
However, what excited Hip Hop fans was the inclusion of Donald Glover as a LEGO figurine. That’s right, Childish Gambino as Lando Calrissian in LEGO form.
Donald Glover, who is a longtime Star Wars fanboy said that one of his first toys was a Lando action figure, even remembering that it was the very first alongside a Darth Vader figurine.
LEGO’s new Star Wars set features 1,414 pieces, but if you’re not keen on putting all of this together and have a fear of stepping on LEGO brick, Hasbro also unveiled a 15cm Lando action figure in the Black Series.
