Action Bronson Is Now a Free Agent
Action Bronson recently announced that he's a free agent, and celebrated by releasing a new song.
When he’s not busy hosting a late-night TV show or travelling the globe dining with famous chefs, Action Bronson somehow finds time to create new music. And now, he’s doing it on his own terms.
The charismatic Queens rapper has announced that he is now a “free agent”, after parting ways with Atlantic Records.
On top of revealing that he has split from the major label, Bronson also shared more exciting news, tweeting that he has a new mixtape White Bronco, coming out soon, and also released new track The Hopeless Romantic.
If that wasn’t enough “Action”, the former chef then told fans that he is working on a new cookbook titled “Stoned Beyond Belief”, as a follow up to his New York Times bestseller - Fuck, That's Delicious.
It’s no surprise that Bronson has decided to split from Atlantic and become a “free agent”, as the release of his 2017 album Blue Chips 7000 appeared to create some tension, with the rapper tweeting "PUT MY MOTHERFUCKING ALBUM OUT", one month before the actual release date.
While no date has been announced for White Bronco, we anticipate a few O.J. Simpson references, as it’s the vehicle described in that infamous car chase.
Record label or not, we can almost certainly count on a mixtape filled with clever and comedic sports references. The fanatical Knicks, Jets and wrestling fan has long entertained us by dropping sports knowledge during his songs, covering most sports from Basketball to Bodybuilding, “Orlando Magic warm-up suits and black Shaqs, ‘95: younger Bronson on the fast track”.
As Bronson told us via twitter, “make sure you stay tuned!”
