Blondey McCoy Just Scored a Modelling Contract

After earning a modelling contract to add to his long list of accomplishments, is there anything Blondey can't do?

Resident skateboarder, designer, artist and all-round legend Blondey McCoy has just scored a modelling contract, adding another skill to his repertoire at just 20 years old. So naturally, there is one question on everyone’s lips: What can’t Blondey do?

He is being represented by Kate Moss Agency, and is one of only six models on the their books, one of which is Kate Moss herself. It’s been a crazy four years since Blondey was first put on the cover of a Street issue i-D by legendary photographer Alasdair McLellan, and he has since managed to master a heap of other skills.

Blondey dropped out of school at just 13 years old to become an international skater (which is not advised but definitely worked out for him), and has since honed his designing and artistic skills, working with the likes of Burberry and jeweler Stephen Webster.

He is first and foremost recognised through skateboarding, riding for Palace and Supreme. But in 2014 he started his own streetwear brand ‘Thames’, full of South London charm, before deciding to split the art and the design elements of the brand so he could explore art and design more thoroughly in their own rights.

His British roots and South London style have treated him well throughout his pursuits up to this point, and we will have to stay tuned to see what this new professional model title brings. Whatever that may be, we know it will work out for him.

Keep reading. Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope.
