Lance Stephenson, Our Favourite Playoff Pest
From baiting LeBron James into a tech foul to rolling around on the floor, Lance Stephenson has been busy.
It’s safe to say we are really enjoying the NBA playoffs so far, especially Indiana Pacers’ pest Lance Stephenson, and his feud with LeBron James which resurfaced during game four of the Cavs vs Pacers series earlier this week.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Stephenson decided to go into full pest mode and tried to follow LeBron James during a timeout. Lebron did not appreciate Stephenson’s antics, and forcefully pushed him away and received a tech foul. Hilarious!
James did not find the incident funny at all, stating “I should never have gotten a tech in the first place. There’s a timeout called, and this guy’s following me to my bench. I gave him a little nudge, and he falls to half court. Come on. But I should know better”.
But if you think Stephenson was going to calm down after causing LeBron to get a tech you were very wrong, because Lance was just getting started!
He soon wrestled the ball from LeBron to earn a jump ball. and whipped the home crowd into a frenzy when he celebrated by holding the ball aloft with a Statue of Liberty-like pose.
But his best act of the night was saved for later. With just 10 seconds remaining, Stephenson attempted to wrestle the ball from Jeff Green’s hands, and put him in a headlock which led to an MMA-style grapple featuring both men rolling around on the floor!
Unfortunately for Stephenson, the Pacers lost by four points, but we appreciate his efforts! Will there be more beef between Stephenson and the Cavs during this series? We can only hope.
