Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov Was Too Good to Be True

We’re totally shattered after hearing the news of Tony Ferguson’s recent LCL injury, allegedly due to an innocuous trip.

We admit it - we’re totally shattered after hearing the news of Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson’s recent LCL injury, allegedly due to an innocuous trip. Ferguson Vs Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 promised to be one of the most interesting MMA fights in recent times.

Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway has stepped in to fight Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title, meaning Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson’s title will be discarded. Ferguson will no doubt take this up with Dana White, saying “You shouldn’t strip a champion due to a freak injury that happened during a UFC-obligated media event”.

Holloway, an Hawaiian native, deserves massive props for taking the fight on short notice, not to mention going up in weight class from the featherweight division, where he is the current title holder. Holloway holds no fear for Nurmagomedov, calmly stating in an interview with Hawaii’s Khon 2 “This guy’s one of the most feared guys, I don’t know why. We’re all fighters, we all train. He’s human, I’m human and we get to go out there and see who is better.” We admire your courage and logic Max - best of luck with that.

This hilarious animation is the only thing helping us through this difficult time.
