The Deadpool 2 Trailer Is Out
Deadpool 2 sees Wade Wilson assembling a task force, as well as the reveal of a new young mutant.
The trailer for Deadpool 2 showcases a strong lineup including the mercenary himself, a hot new girlfriend, the best taxi driver/hype boy, a time-travelling cyborg villain, half naked Japanese men in an onsen and a kid with arms that fire up. This is the first preview and we’re pretty stoked to see what is install for the movie.
A synopsis reads, “After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
It is revealed in the trailer that we will see the successful assembling of the X-Force, an offshoot of the X-Men who in Marvel Comics’ word “takes a more militant and aggressive approach towards its enemies compared to the X-Men”.
The original storyline of the X-Force sees Cable (the villain) as a founding member of the mutant task crew. However, we’ll see Cable in a new light as the supervillain in this movie, who is on a mission to capture a young mutant who could be Kid Apocalypse.
No solid information has been confirmed regarding who the child’s character is, but an article by Screen Rant has pieced together a possible Kid Apocalypse storyline, which is similar to Marvel Comic’s Uncanny X-Force plot. This involves the team contemplating killing an innocent child (who is also the resurrected version of mutant of mass destruction Apocalypse).
Deadpool 2 is set for a May 17 release in Australia, while Deadpool 3 is currently in development.
